| "Jonas Seafood specialise in the world renowned Cromer Crab, but also supply a
wide range of seafood in wholesale form to local catering establishments or pre packed
fresh to local retail outlets. Kevin Jonas started the business in 1995 after 10 years working on deep-water trawlers from Lowestoft. The Jonas family have fished the North Sea for generations and John Jonas, Kevin ‘s nephew, operates the boat Rory James from Cromer beach. The Rory catches mainly crab and lobster, but also brown shrimp and cod when in season.
We have our processing unit in East Runton. Here the crabs are prepared in the traditional manner , that is, cooked in salted water (not steamed),and all picked by hand. There is no mechanical extraction in our crab dressing.
