yet close to the sandy beaches of the North Norfolk coast. |

The hotel is situated alongside the A149, at the ancient
crossing point of the River Ant at Wayford Bridge. Fronting onto this picturesque river
and set in acres of attractive gardens and parkland, the hotel offers a unique location
for a peaceful and relaxing stay for holidaymakers and business travellers alike. We are
only 20 minutes driving time from either Norwich or Great Yarmouth and 10 minutes from
North Walsham and yet enjoying the tranquillity of a broadland setting. The largely
deserted sandy beaches of the North Norfolk coast are also close by. |

Dating in parts from the late 17th Century the hotel has been extensively enlarged and
refurbished in 2000 and now offers 12 bedrooms, all furnished to a high standard.
All rooms are en-suite, most of them with both bath and shower and equipped with Teletext
Colour Television, Direct dial Telephone, Radio, Hairdryer, Trouser press and Tea and
Coffee making facilities. Most of the rooms are river facing and are arranged on both
ground floor and first floor levels.

The Hotel has been carefully adapted for those guests with mobility problems to
provide access throughout the ground floor areas. Five of our bedrooms are situated on the
ground floor and one of which has been designed for wheelchair use. |
The Hotel Bistro and A` la Carte Restaurant offer perhaps the best choice of dining
facilities in the area, providing a wide range of interesting and reasonably priced
dishes. Both restaurants are popular with guests and locals alike and offer a selection of
fresh local seafood and Charcoal grill specialties, complemented by a carefully chosen
selection of wines from around the world. Imaginative vegetarian dishes are always
available and we are pleased to cater for those guests requiring special diets.

Alternatively in fine weather dine out on our large patio and enjoy the fine views of
the river. Our comfortable Lounge Bar with its open log fire is a popular meeting place
and the perfect place to relax from the stresses of the day offering a wide range of
beers, “real ales”, wines and spirits. Ample car parking is available onsite. |
